Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
You must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
You must provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or possess an associate's degree or 60 college credits or have a police academy certificate or corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government locations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist visitors, employees, and/or members of the public with inquiries and directions, maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as required during incidents or emergencies on site.
