Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Gate Monitor in Palm Beach Gardens, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential location, you will monitor access points and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and/or driving post requiring both an armed guard card and a valid driver's license. You will provide outstanding customer service, maintain a strong presence, and communicate clearly with residents and visitors while upholding our values of integrity and teamwork.
Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Must have experience in Law Enforcement / Corrections
- Must possess a degree in Criminal Justice
- Must be a graduate of Public Safety Academy
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the residential community, verifying identification and credentials of residents, guests, and vendors.
- Provide customer service by assisting residents and visitors with inquiries and directions as needed.
- Follow site-specific policies and procedures to maintain order and help to deter unauthorized entry or activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
- Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal guidelines.
- Assist in emergency response activities as directed by site protocols and Allied Universal procedures.
