Requirements

At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats within an aerospace and defense environment.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
Document and report security-related incidents and observations according to established protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during critical events.
