About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Facility Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and interact with visitors and staff to deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting findings according to site protocols.
Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors by providing information and guidance as needed while maintaining a visible presence.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when required during incidents.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
