About The Position

As a Security Guard - Armed Entry Monitor in Tampa, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring access, assisting visitors, and providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement military or security experience or possess a college degree.
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Possess a corrections officer license.
Possess a law enforcement officer license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of visitors and employees as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Document and report any unusual activities, security-related concerns, or emergencies to the appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors and employees with directions and general information about the location.
Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
Support emergency response activities as directed, including alerting appropriate authorities and guiding individuals as needed.
