As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. This armed position requires you to respond promptly to situations, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with clients and visitors. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or threats, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or irregularities according to established protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with financial institution staff and/or law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns.
  • Maintain a visible and approachable presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
