As a Dispatch Officer in an aerospace and defense location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and coordinating activities from a central point. This armed and driving post involves supporting your team, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service while upholding the values of Allied Universal. Your role is crucial in maintaining a secure environment through teamwork, communication, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry at the location.
  • Coordinate communication and dispatch response teams to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of all calls, incidents, and activities in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by addressing inquiries and following security-related procedures.
  • Follow emergency response protocols and communicate with appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Support regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents, as required by site procedures.
  • Adhere to all site-specific policies and procedures while performing dispatch and security-related duties.
