Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years' security experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Carry a firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies, completing required post checks, documentation, and reporting for any security-related use of force or equipment issues.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as directed and completing detailed incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, manufacturing and/or office areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, damage, and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, screening visitors and deliveries, maintaining visitor logs, and directing personnel to proper locations per site procedures.
