As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will observe activity, document findings, communicate clearly with site contacts, and respond to situations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a tech and/or media office environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, common spaces, and the building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and authorized entry procedures, verifying identification and/or visitor credentials per site policy and directing visitors to the appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
  • Complete reports and logs with accurate details of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
