As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide a welcoming presence to all visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will leverage strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to support a secure and engaging environment, reflecting our commitment to integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies established for the location.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, maintaining a calm and problem-solving approach during incidents and critical situations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks, adapting to the unique environment of a technology, media, or telecom setting.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees, addressing questions and concerns while upholding security-related standards.
  • Document and report any observed security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
