As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide a welcoming presence to all visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will leverage strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to support a secure and engaging environment, reflecting our commitment to integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies established for the location.
Assist with emergency response activities as directed, maintaining a calm and problem-solving approach during incidents and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks, adapting to the unique environment of a technology, media, or telecom setting.
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees, addressing questions and concerns while upholding security-related standards.
Document and report any observed security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
