As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This armed position involves visible presence throughout the location, responding to security-related situations, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Vaccines are required for hospital assignments.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including those unique to healthcare environments.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned healthcare facilities and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, patients, and visitors regarding security-related matters and provide assistance as needed.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with site and Allied Universal protocols.
Support emergency response efforts, including providing assistance during evacuations, medical emergencies, or other critical events specific to healthcare environments.
