About The Position

Join our team at Securitas Security where you will have the opportunity to serve your community while receiving advanced training in safety and security. This position will give you the opportunity to gain knowledge in the various security solutions we provide to our clients, while learning multiple vacates of the business. In this role you will provide operational support to our cliental and District Managers at multiple locations. This officer will need to be available 6am-11pm or 2pm-6am, schedules are provided a week in advance and will be stationed at multiple locations.

Requirements

18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
Standard computer / technology skills needed.
Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
Driver certification.
Active Guard License.
Must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass a motor vehicle record.

Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Former Military / Law Enforcement Encouraged To Apply!!
Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus!!
CPR, AED, and First aid certifications are a plus but are not needed for every site.

Responsibilities

Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
Secure entrances / exits.
Conduct patrols inside and outside the client’s premises Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, and unauthorized persons.
Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
Provide security for short-term special security assignments.
Support staffing requirements at accounts during shortages due to vacations, call-offs, no shows, suspensions, holidays, etc.
Assist in start-ups at new accounts to include working the site, writing post orders, and training checklists and training newly assigned permanent Security Officers.
Expect to work on weekends and holidays with limited notice, and work during “high need” periods.
Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues.
Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
