You will conduct routine patrols across buildings and grounds, monitor activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and clinical teams to help reduce security-related incidents. You will also respond to calls for assistance, maintain a visible presence, and deliver customer service with calm professionalism, reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and visitor management practices at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts when appropriate and requesting additional resources per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor activity through direct observation and available systems, document security-related incidents and/or unusual occurrences, and complete reports according to Allied Universal and site guidelines.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations, coordinating with medical staff, and helping to maintain controlled access during high-activity events.
