Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet staff and visitors, and support orderly traffic flow. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and document activity while communicating clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, vendors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entrances by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary badges as applicable, and directing authorized persons to the correct location.
  • Monitor entry points and adjacent areas for unusual activity and/or policy violations, helping to deter unauthorized access to clinical and laboratory spaces.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting onsite leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for proper closure and authorized access.
