Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine foot and vehicle-area patrols, control access points, and help to deter security-related incidents through a highly visible presence. You will document observations, respond to alarms and service requests, and communicate clearly with site staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, access control issues, and/or reports of suspicious activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading and/or unloading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials as required by post orders, and assist with visitor management and delivery coordination.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support drills and emergency notifications as directed by site procedures.
