As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and visitors, manage access points, verify credentials, and support screening procedures that help to reduce security-related incidents. You will monitor activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams while delivering customer service. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor management protocols, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, contractors, and visitors at entry points using established screening processes, including checking identification, verifying appointments, and processing badges and/or credentials.
  • Monitor screening lanes and nearby areas for suspicious activity, prohibited items, and/or policy violations, and help to deter unauthorized entry by maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activities and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by controlling access to docks, yards, and other controlled areas in accordance with security-related procedures and post orders.
