You will remain visible, monitor assigned areas, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with teams to help reduce incidents. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
Operate an access control post by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, controlling entry to restricted areas and directing guests to appropriate check-in locations.
Monitor access control systems, cameras and alarms as assigned, documenting unusual activity and escalating concerns per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including interior spaces, entrances, loading areas and perimeter points when applicable. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Screen and log visitors, vendors and deliveries, following identification and authorization procedures and maintaining required logs.
Support healthcare staff with de-escalation and assistance requests as directed, using approved communication and reporting protocols.
Complete timely written reports, including shift activity logs, incident reports and access control documentation, and submit them per Allied Universal requirements.
Coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site management to communicate policy changes, restricted area updates and incident follow-up actions.
