As an Allied Universal Patrol Unarmed Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flows, communicate clearly with tenants and building teams, and deliver customer service that reflects our caring culture. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 21+ Years of Age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and building activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor management and/or contractor check-in according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, requesting assistance from public agencies when needed, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete reports and logs, communicate pertinent information to property management and/or site contacts, and support investigations by preserving observations and available information.
