You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and calls for service, and document activities clearly. Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus areas such as entrances, corridors, parking areas, and/or perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, assisting with visitor management, and/or coordinating with site leadership and local public services as needed.
• Control access to designated areas by monitoring doors and checkpoints, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization, and helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, document patrol findings and incidents, and communicate security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts in a timely manner.
