As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and site teams while providing strong customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and respond to alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to Allied Universal leadership and/or local emergency services as needed.
- Complete detailed incident reports, activity logs, and shift documentation, and communicate key information during post handoff and/or to property management contacts.
- Assist with parking and/or traffic flow during peak periods, deliveries, and special events, and provide directions and general assistance while maintaining awareness of site conditions.
