We are currently hiring for a Fire & Security Alarm Installation / Service Technician in our Dunkirk, NY branch. $23-$28 / hour, based on experience Installation Technicians focus on setting up new security, fire, camera, and access systems in residential and commercial environments. Service Technicians primarily troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing systems, ensuring reliability and performance. In both roles, you’ll engage directly with customers on a daily basis, making strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in low-voltage installation preferred (trainees also considered)
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Proficiency with low voltage install, maintenance, and repair of CCTV, intrusion, fire, access control, and intercom systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle
  • Comfortable working in various environments
  • Adherence to all safety protocols
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and ethical

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 and/or NICET certification a plus
  • Willingness to work occasional nights/weekends and travel within the Dunkirk, NY region

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure electronic security, fire, access control, CCTV, intrusion, and network-based intercom systems
  • Service and troubleshoot systems to resolve performance issues
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Educate customers on system functionality, features, and service needs
  • Provide exceptional customer care by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering helpful solutions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed
  • Uphold high standards of safety, workmanship, and customer care
