Requirements
- Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Have 1+ year of security-related experience.
- The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Monitor assigned areas for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and document observations per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to supervisors and on-site contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, checking doors, gates, and access points and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
- Complete accurate incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation, and communicate key information during shift handoff.
