About The Position

GMR Security Consulting Group is seeking a motivated Security Consultant with 1–2 years of experience in corporate security, risk management, or a related field. In this role, you will support the delivery of safety and security programs and project-based consulting services for clients across North America. You will work closely with senior consultants to assist with physical security program development, risk assessments, site surveys, and client deliverables. This position offers strong growth opportunities for early-career professionals interested in a consulting path.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in corporate security, physical security, risk management, military, law enforcement support, operations, or related fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project needs.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assisting with risk assessments or site surveys is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, emergency management, business, or related field preferred.
  • Interest in pursuing industry certifications such as CPP, PSP, CFSSP, CHPA, CISSP.
  • Is eager to learn and grow within a consulting environment.
  • Has strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and documentation of physical security, technical security, life safety, and guard force program elements.
  • Assist with onsite risk assessments, gap analyses, security audits, and facility reviews at offices, retail branches, campuses, and data centers.
  • Help analyze security risks and prepare mitigation recommendations.
  • Participate in client meetings to gather information and understand requirements.
  • Build working relationships with client security teams, property management, and law enforcement under senior guidance.
  • Assist with preparing reports, executive summaries, presentations, and status updates.
  • Collect and organize security-related data to support program improvements.
  • Support internal and external security training activities.
  • Stay informed on emerging security technologies and industry trends.
