You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will also respond to reports, communicate clearly with personnel and visitors, and deliver a professional customer service experience. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Have access control and badge experience preferred.
  • Have a state, county, or city issued security license preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor processing, and directing individuals to approved destinations per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance when needed and completing required incident reports.
  • Perform routine security-related checks such as observing restricted areas, monitoring for suspicious activity, and communicating updates to site personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
