About The Position

The Security Base Coordinator provides administrative support to the Security staff and serves as the main operator of the base. This role is responsible for collecting, collating, and disseminating event information, calendars, and schedules for the department. Key duties include providing staffing support for data entry (hours allocations, reports, security logs), assisting with the POD’s (plan of the day) as needed, handling regular written correspondence, maintaining and organizing office files, providing customer service representation, and managing verbal communications and special projects. The coordinator offers on-site and telephone assistance to customers, clients, and vendors, maintains Security event files and floor plan files with all applicable data, and updates these files as new information is received. Additional responsibilities include assisting with changes in client key access, taking photos for IATSE workforce badges, assisting with badge distribution, signing in individuals, providing wristbands or temporary badges at the base, and assisting with dock access when required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Good organizational, communication and inter-personal skills
  • Demonstrate excellent communication (verbal and written) and inter-personal skills among all levels of staff and clientele
  • Ability to work under pressure dictated by event schedules and project timetables
  • Work effectively with diverse groups of people among all levels within an organization; skill to work effectively as part of a team
  • Perform leadership role and job tasks effectively despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities
  • Excellent record of dependability and reliability
  • Clearly demonstrated ability at problem solving
  • Demonstrated computer literacy in word-processing and spreadsheet programs
  • Basic computer skills
  • City and County of Denver Security Guard License required

Nice To Haves

  • Some college coursework in business courses preferred
  • Customer Service experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Security department administrator responsible for the collecting, collating and dissemination of event information, calendars and schedules on behalf of the department
  • Provide staffing support for data entry (hours allocations, reports, security logs), assist with the POD’s (plan of the day) as needed, regular written correspondence, maintain and organize office files, customer service representation, and verbal communications, and special projects
  • Provide on-site and telephone assistance and conclusion to customer, client and vendor inquiries
  • Maintain Security event files and floor plan files with all applicable data and information for entry to the files.
  • Update event files/floor plan files as new information is received
  • Assist with any changes in access to client keys by request only.
  • Will take photos for badges of IATSE workforce and will assist with distribution of badges when needed.
  • Sign in and give wristband or temp badge to people entering at base.
  • Absence of felony or violent crime convictions
  • Assist and help with dock access when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
