About The Position
As a Security Officer - Government Armed Patrol in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter incidents and respond to security-related situations. Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have at least 6 months of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the security-related needs of the location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any unusual findings.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
- Document incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary to assist with incident resolution.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any security-related concerns or hazards in a timely manner.
