About The Position

As a Security Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for multiple areas/functions, all aspects of the security operations within those areas, and the staff and Supervisors that are executing the security operation. This includes the on-the-job training and development of all staff on your team and the building of a culture that celebrates success and identifies areas of improvement in a supportive manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Security minded and service-oriented person who places value on each individual guest interaction and the safety of others
  • Ability to properly enforce stadium protocols and policies even in challenging situations
  • Driven focus to help and support guests and other staff members
  • Always maintain a positive and professional demeanor
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to connect with a wide variety of staff and guests in an exciting and ever-changing environment
  • Ability to take direction and demonstrate flexibility with shifting priorities on event day
  • Ability to work full stadium events to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to meet organizational mandatory events policy
  • Ability to walk/stand for prolonged periods
  • Some positions may require the repeated climbing of stairs
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming and service-oriented environment for all guests arriving to the stadium.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all operational policies and procedures to execute Event Security initiatives throughout the stadium
  • Oversee and support all Supervisors in assigned areas to ensure compliance with stadium procedures and policy while fostering a supportive and welcoming approach to all event staff
  • Retrieve all supporting equipment and information pertinent to event day success including radios, screening equipment, event day documents, etc. and issue them to event staff
  • Attend pre-event Supervisor briefings as assigned by TeamOps Event Managers
  • Conduct event day briefings with all assigned staff members with emphasis on providing world-class security and service at every guest touchpoint
  • Deploy all staff to assigned area while emphasizing placement based on effective skills and attributes to set each staff member up for success
  • Ensure guest safety and security by conducting thorough primary and secondary screenings of guests and their belongings using established security technology and subsequent training
  • Address guest challenges to stadium policies and procedures with professionalism and courtesy to include clear bag policies, guest code of conduct, etc.
  • Ensure guests can enjoy their event experience by verifying that they are entering the correct section and seat in the seating bowl.
  • Proactively resolve seating disputes by identifying the proper seat location and enforcing the Guest Code of Conduct.
  • Control the integrity of the playing field and other back of house areas during events by actively checking credentials and challenging entry to staff or guests attempting to enter restricted areas
  • Monitor crowd activities and report any suspicious activity and/or behavior to your Supervisor
  • Propose suggestions to the Senior Security Event Manager that can enhance Guest Service initiatives in impactful ways throughout the stadium.
  • Work collaboratively with stadium partners, including Guest Services, Food and Beverage, Stadium Operations, etc. and escalate concerns to the Event Manager, MOC or nearest Law Enforcement Officer as applicable.
  • Complete any ongoing training modules or as assigned
  • Respond to and report any safety, service, or other incident into the Main Operations Center and TeamOps management, escalating to nearest Law Enforcement Officer as applicable.
  • Ensure incident reports are properly filled out and that all applicable statements are documented and turned in at the event of shift
  • Special projects and assignments as needed
