Security Analyst III

Centrus Energy

About The Position

If you’re the kind of professional who sees security as strategy—not just compliance—this role puts you at the center of protecting critical national assets. As a Security Analyst III supporting American Centrifuge Operating, LLC (ACO), you’ll help safeguard classified matter, controlled unclassified information, and special nuclear material within a highly regulated NRC and DOE environment. From cyber and physical protection to counterintelligence and operations security, you’ll operate where vigilance, technical expertise, and sound judgment matter every day. You will execute and strengthen safeguards and security programs across information, personnel, and physical protection domains. This includes developing and evaluating security-related change analyses to determine regulatory impact and NRC approval requirements; planning and completing moderately complex security assignments; supporting installation, programming, testing, and maintenance of intrusion detection systems; and conducting self-assessments and audits. You’ll interface with DOE personnel on personnel security matters, evaluate regulatory updates for applicability, manage corrective action tracking, and lead or support investigations of security events including interviews and required reporting to NRC or DOE. You may serve as Alternate Facility Security Officer, OPSEC Coordinator, Site Technical Representative, or qualify as a Derivative Classifier, ECI, or UCNI Reviewing Official. You’ll also help coordinate inspections, provide training and awareness programs, and guide employees and contractors in maintaining compliance with established security requirements.
