About The Position

As a Security Ambassador - Unarmed in West Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas in a busy city location, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine foot and/or bike patrols, observe and report unusual activity, assist visitors and staff with directions and questions, and communicate clearly with your team to support smooth daily operations with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

• Be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Be able to ride a bike for long periods of time, preferred.
• Have a guard card and/or license, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating site-specific emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with visitor direction and general inquiries.
• Document activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, and communicate status updates to supervisors and/or site contacts as needed.
