As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, completing routine foot patrols and maintaining a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support a positive experience for visitors and staff through strong customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

• Be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned municipal buildings, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor activity in and around the location, help to deter policy violations, and report suspicious or unusual conditions to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including responding to alarms, disturbances, and requests for assistance.
• Complete detailed patrol logs and incident reports, communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or location representatives, and support access control and visitor management as assigned.
