As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned public spaces, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document activity, assist visitors with directions and information, and partner with local stakeholders as part of a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and driven by integrity.
Requirements
- Able to ride a bike.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned locations, including interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor access points and public areas, observe for policy violations or suspicious behavior, and communicate directions or assistance as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, reporting, and coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders when appropriate.
- Document daily activities, patrol findings, and incident details in written logs and reports, and communicate timely updates during shift briefings and/or handoffs.
