About The Position

Under limited supervision, the Security Officer – Admin and Badging provides security and protection of work site, personnel and assets at the assigned job site. Initiates Company and Contractor badges and provides required access levels to the security credentials based on established operational procedures. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but the company may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements. The role involves understanding and executing post orders, providing security related customer service and emergency response activities, guarding property against damage, fire, theft, and illegal or unauthorized entry. It also requires excellent knowledge of Company badging procedures and access control systems, including reviewing access badge request forms, performing required data entry, creating access cards, performing all card holder management (suspending and modifying access), managing permanent and temporary parking permits, and toll tag issuance. Additional duties include accepting packages, completing job required forms/documentation accurately and timely, maintaining professional interactions and appearance, assisting management and law enforcement in emergency situations, responding to incidents, reporting accidents, maintaining confidentiality, and participating in safety meetings and training.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior military, law enforcement, or private security experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • State Unarmed Security Officer License (or ability to obtain)
  • Able to proficiently speak, read, understand and write English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background investigation, drug screen, and a post-offer physical evaluation
  • Maturity of judgement and behavior
  • Strong computer, phone, and typing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to present self in a highly professional manner with the understanding that honesty, integrity and ethics are essential
  • Ability to communicate respectfully with all visitors, coworkers, vendors, supervisors, managers, customers and client representatives
  • Ability to provide clear directions and respond accordingly

Responsibilities

  • Provide security and protection of work site, personnel and assets at the assigned job site.
  • Initiate Company and Contractor badges and provide required access levels to the security credentials based on established operational procedures.
  • Understand and successfully execute post orders including enforcement of client and company policies, rules and regulations.
  • Provide security related customer service and emergency response activities as required.
  • Guard property against damage, fire, theft, and illegal or unauthorized entry.
  • Review access badge request forms.
  • Perform required data entry for badging.
  • Create access cards.
  • Perform all card holder management including suspending and modifying card access.
  • Manage permanent and temporary parking permits.
  • Issue toll tags.
  • Accept packages and make appropriate notifications.
  • Complete all job required forms/documentation accurately and timely.
  • Display courteous, respectful and professional interactions with the public and customers.
  • Maintain high standards for work areas and appearance.
  • Comply with established dress code/uniform requirements.
  • Assist management and law enforcement officials in emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and appropriate professionalism.
  • Be knowledgeable of all duties associated with the basic patrol/post/reception officer.
  • Temporarily cover other posts as needed.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety and operational procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Attend company/job required training programs (classroom and virtual).
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
