PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for organizing and planning tasks to maintain high performance of the warehouse's storage, shipment and receiving processes, sanitation, and administrative functions. The Warehouse Specialist will report to the Project Manager and will help develop, train, and evaluate staff in addition to ensuring the maintenance of company assets.

• Active Secret Clearance
• Experience in a warehouse environment

Responsibilities

• General inventory, verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
• Assembles and repairs wood shipping crates, using a variety of electric and pneumatic powered hand tools, such as saws, drills, nail guns, staplers, etc. Wraps and packs crates to prepare for shipping/storage.
• Operates a variety of material handling equipment to include forklifts and mechanized warehouse equipment that involves managing high pile storage.
• Employees handling lithium battery shipments will need to maintain the IATA Non-Radioactive Dangerous Goods Certification.
