About The Position

Zantech is a dynamic Woman Owned Small Business focused on providing complex, mission-focused solutions. They are seeking a talented Information Technologist for an On-site role at Fort Lee, VA, to contribute to an upcoming Information Technology Support Services project. The Information Technologist IV will serve as a senior technical resource, supporting systems and server administration, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and Digital Trainer operations across the IT environment at Fort Lee, Virginia. This role involves supporting over 13,000 automated data processing systems and is responsible for the availability, performance, and security of server infrastructure, training systems, and endpoint management for four Army schools and headquarters.

Requirements

  • 8 years minimum in an IT Technologist IV or equivalent position; 5 years minimum in a server/systems administrator role
  • Systems and server administration ensuring availability of all systems at all times
  • Server backup and restoration in accordance with CASCOM and NETCOM policies
  • File, web, SQL, and printer server administration including installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and decommissioning
  • Active Directory administration: account creation/deletion, rights assignment, troubleshooting
  • Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) configuration, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance
  • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM): software deployments, deployment reports, device collections, large-scale TRADOC classroom deployments
  • GCSS-Army, Army Logistics Information Systems (LIS), Mission Command trainers, BEMT, Ordnance, Transportation training system support
  • Systems analysis, diagnosis, troubleshooting, IA initiatives, and system mitigation and transition strategies
  • Program of Instruction (POI) training system test specification preparation and revision
  • SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology training system reimaging and builds
  • ORSA private network maintenance: workstation imaging, file server configuration, network patching
  • SharePoint server administration and customer support
  • Commercial hardware repair on Dell and HP systems
  • DoD 8570.01-M compliance for IA/IT workforce certification requirements
  • Windows Server 2019/2016/2012, Microsoft Exchange, Forefront TMG, SharePoint, SQL Server 2019, Active Directory planning and implementation
  • Experience in DoD architectures, tactical networks, commercial satellite communications, LAN/WAN, configuration management
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study; OR Eight (8) or more years of related experience in an IT Technologist IV position in lieu of degree; OR Five (5) years of related experience specifically for the Server Administrator sub-role
  • IAT Level II baseline certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA Security)
  • Computing Environment (CE) certification for all operating systems and security tools supported under this contract
  • DoD IA Cyber Awareness Training prior to network access; renewed annually
  • AT Level I Antiterrorism Training within 30 days of start
  • OPSEC Level I Training within 30 days of start; annual refresh required
  • US Citizenship and the ability to maintain an Active Secret or higher clearance, per contract requirements

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and administer all system sets and servers to ensure continuous availability to users; immediately notify the Government COR of any system degradation, unusual activity, or downtime
  • Perform system and server backups and restoration in accordance with CASCOM and NETCOM policies, ensuring data currency and accuracy
  • Administer file, web, SQL, and printer servers; create and manage service accounts and server data repositories
  • Perform Active Directory administration including account management, rights assignment, and troubleshooting
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain SAN and NAS devices while preserving Active Directory security access controls
  • Manage MECM device accounts, collections, software deployments, and deployment reports; coordinate large-scale TRADOC classroom deployments with NEC MECM administrators
  • Support Digital Trainer systems including GCSS-Army, LIS, Mission Command trainers, and all POI training systems
  • Serve as G-6 point of contact for multiple automated logistics information systems; coordinate with COR on proposed modifications
  • Perform technical evaluations of baseline test systems including loading libraries, restoring data files, building catalogs, and validating control characteristics
  • Conduct analysis of functional requirements and change proposals; determine feasibility and propose solutions
  • Perform periodic reimaging and system builds for SAP ERP technology training systems
  • Maintain ORSA private network through workstation imaging, file server support, and network patching
  • Respond to and resolve incident tickets within PWS response time requirements: 24-hour acknowledge, 48-72 hour resolution; 2-hour response for VIP/priority users
  • Create and maintain Continuity Books documenting troubleshooting steps and procedures
  • Perform lifecycle replacement of servers, storage devices, and related equipment including physical disassembly, relocation, and reassembly
