About The Position

Pleasantville Community School District seeks to fill the following anticipated vacancy for the 2026-2027 school year: Secondary Special Education Teacher Strat I Pleasantville High School is in search of a highly qualified candidate who is student-centered, values collaboration with colleagues, and has a strong desire to learn and grow as an educator. This position is primarily high school but may include some junior high instructional time. Qualified candidates should hold a valid Iowa teaching license with an endorsement in 5-12 Instructional Strategist I or have the ability to acquire necessary endorsement. Instructional Strategist II is preferred but not required. Pleasantville offers the close-knit, community feel of a smaller town, with the benefit of being just 25 minutes from downtown Des Moines.
