About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our high school team. The ideal candidate will specialize in either Life Science (e.g., Biology, Environmental Science, Anatomy) or Physical Science (e.g., Chemistry, Physical Science, or Physics), teaching students in grades 9-12. This individual will play a key role in fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for science.

Requirements

  • Applicants must hold a current Arkansas teaching certificate.
  • Any applicant who holds an out-of-state teaching certificate must provide documentation showing they have started reciprocity procedures as required by the Arkansas Department of Education.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in Life Science or Physical Science for students in grades 9-12.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and student engagement.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including hands-on experiments, labs, and technology integration, to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Support school initiatives and participate in extracurricular activities or clubs, as needed.
