About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our high school faculty for the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop critical reading, writing, and communication skills while fostering a love for literature and learning.

Requirements

• Applicants must hold a current Arkansas teaching certificate.
• Any applicant who holds an out-of-state teaching certificate must provide documentation showing they have started reciprocity procedures as required by the Arkansas Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in English Language Arts for grades 7-12.
• Develop and implement curricula aligned with state standards and school goals.
• Foster critical thinking and analytical skills through discussions, projects, and assignments.
• Evaluate and assess student progress through various methods, including tests, essays, presentations, and participation.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student achievement and school initiatives.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and school-related activities.
