Cross Country Education is searching for proactive and engaged English Language Arts and Algebra 1 Teachers to join a collaborative powerhouse in the Bronx, NY ! Position Overview: English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher - 10th/11th Grade Develop and deliver engaging, rigorous curriculum for 10th and 11th-grade English Language Arts, including Advanced Placement (AP) and NY State Regents preparation. Algebra 1 Teacher - Middle/High School Develop and implement effective, high-quality Algebra 1 instruction and lessons for middle and/or high school students.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• New York City Teaching Certificate (Preferred)
• Non-Certified candidates must hold a minimum of 12 credits in the relevant subject area and be able to provide an official transcript
• 1-2 years of high school teaching experience, ideally specific experience in Advanced Placement (AP) ELA for ELA position

Responsibilities

• Administer, collect, and analyze both formative and summative assessment data (quizzes, projects, state-aligned exams) to assess student progress, provide targeted feedback, and adapt instructional methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters engagement and academic growth.
• Engage in the school community as a proactive and collaborative member of the educational team, contributing to a positive learning environment.
