About The Position

The Secondary Markets Supervisor i mplements strategies to achieve the goals for the organization and supports supply chain secondary markets and warehouse activities. RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: Implements strategies to achieve the goals for the organization and supports supply chain secondary markets and warehouse activities. Implements, revises, and sustains policies, procedures and programs. Typically works on projects and initiatives that span 3 – 12 months.

Requirements

• Two years of college education or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexible schedule. Nights and weekends may be required as business warrants. Must have working phone that allows for communication accessibility.

Nice To Haves

• Coursework, training and/or work experience in Logistics Management a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain established methods to ensure secondary market customer loads are filled including properly updating D365 through customer invoicing.
• Properly complete secondary market customer shipment paperwork ensuring compliance with Company guidelines for record retention have been met.
• Develop and maintain appropriate production levels through the management of workflow, schedules and efficient facility layout directly related to secondary market production.
• Function as a backup/support role within the warehouse operations role at the distribution center.
• Observes donation trends with the ability to forecast loads and communicate with vendors to coordinate timely pick-ups, while ensuring the highest level of service is maintained with commodities product quality and accurate load weights.
• Consistently provides exceptional customer service while monitoring and coaching employees to do the same.
• React to business needs and adjust work plan, schedules and resources to meet demands and specifications.
• Follow defined processes for protection and usage of high value company assets including but not limited to forklifts, and other equipment.
• Assure utilization of maintenance systems to ensure on-going Preventative Maintenance programs are in place and equipment is maintained in excellent operating condition.
• Assist with interviews. Provides training and coaching of new and existing employees to increase employee satisfaction and maximize productivity.Project and Change Management: Effectively plans and manages own work to reliably complete routine job responsibilities and special assignments. May serve as a team member or subject matter expert on formal projects or within the department. Effectively engages in change affecting her/him, communicating appropriately with supervisor. Follows through on learning, skill building, and practice necessary to adapt to change.
• Problem Solving: Light supervision; works independently. Periodic review of work by manager or senior coworker. Solves problems of moderate to advanced complexity; able to identify root cause, interpret data and resolve issues.
• Technical Skill: Understands and applies professional principles and skills within area of specialization to modify processes to resolve situations.
• Community Engagement: Champions Goodwill’s community engagement initiatives and serves as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider community.
• Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
