About The Position

The Secondary Markets Clerk I provides entry-level administrative and operational support to the Secondary Marketing team. This role assists with daily secondary market activities, including data entry, loan file maintenance, investor delivery support, and internal coordination to ensure loans are accurately prepared, tracked, and delivered in accordance with investor and company guidelines. The position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and timely communication.

Responsibilities

Execute assigned daily secondary marketing tasks accurately and on time.
Track loan statuses, delivery timelines, and purchase confirmations to ensure loans move efficiently through the pipeline.
Identify missing documentation or data issues and take action to resolve them promptly.
Maintain accurate loan data, investor logs, delivery trackers, and spreadsheets.
Follow established procedures, checklists, and investor guidelines consistently.
Support reconciliation of purchase advice, pricing adjustments, and delivery confirmations.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and documentation standards.
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal departments including Operations, Closing, Post-Closing, Accounting, and Secondary Marketing.
Escalate issues, discrepancies, or delays appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
Support team collaboration by responding to requests and providing status updates as needed.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn secondary market concepts, investor guidelines, and delivery processes.
Suggest process improvements or efficiencies when opportunities are identified.
Adapt to changes in investor requirements, market conditions, or internal workflows.
