About The Position

SEC Financial Reporting Accountant (hybrid) We are open to hiring at either the Senior or Lead level, depending on experience (salary band listed is for senior level) We are looking to hire someone to work in either our Columbus, Ohio or Merrillville, Indiana office with a hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office) The SEC Financial Reporting team manages the quarterly and annual SEC filing process, partners with various stakeholders in the preparation of timely and accurate forms, 10-Q and 10-K. The team reviews and drafts quarterly financial statements, footnote disclosures, and is involved in variance analysis. We monitor SEC and FASB updates to assess applicability for implementation of new disclosures.

Requirements

  • Four year degree in business discipline
  • 2-4 years of experience in finance, accounting, regulatory or a related field (SEC reporting experience is preferred)
  • Requires multiple functional experience
  • Requires knowledge of PC applications
  • Financial Acumen- Understands basics of finance and accounting, including the relationships between segments of the financial statements (e.g. balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow)
  • Continuous Improvement - Originating action to improve existing conditions and processes; identifying improvement opportunities, generating ideas, and implementing solutions.
  • Data analysis - Analyze information from a variety of sources to detect trends, associations, cause-effect relationships and other anomalies.
  • Time management - Effectively manage his or her time to ensure deadlines are met and quality is achieved.
  • Networking- Pursue opportunities to network with different parts of finance as well as other parts of NI.
  • Quality Orientation- Produces processes, tasks, and work products to ensure freedom from errors, omissions, or defects.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
