You are an experienced and detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of public company filing requirements and the skill set to drive process improvements as the company prepares for scale and, potentially, the public markets. You have a strong command of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, along with a proven ability to analyze and document key technical accounting policies and positions. You thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and are comfortable building technical accounting and reporting infrastructure from the ground up, including establishing reporting calendars, implementing controls, and coordinating cross-functional teams. Youâre proactive, highly organised, and an excellent communicator who can translate complex financial information into clear, investor-facing narratives. Youâre also passionate about mentoring others, fostering education around public company requirements, and helping build a world-class technical accounting and reporting function thatâs audit- and investor-ready.

Requirements

Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
CPA is required.
8 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in high-growth and dynamic environments.
1+ year of specific experience leading SEC filings..
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and public company disclosure requirements.
2 yrs + experience working in or with public companies; experience working with private companies focused on public company readiness is highly preferred.
Proficiency with DFIN, Workiva or similar SEC reporting platforms.
Familiarity with AI tools or intelligent agents used to streamline reporting workflows, enhance data quality, or automate documentation.
Strong understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and documentation standards.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to draft and review financial disclosures and investor materials with clarity and precision.
Strong project management skills; ability to set timelines, coordinate across teams, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience mentoring or educating cross-functional teams on reporting processes, public company standards, and compliance expectations.

Responsibilities

Play a key role in public company readiness, including building out reporting processes, and supporting the transition to public company operations.
Help implement DFIN, Workivaor similar platform to streamline financial reporting processes and ensure consistency, version control, and auditability across all filings.
Help in the preparation and filing of all SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, S-1, and other required disclosures.
Help with the drafting, review, and submission process for SEC filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
Partner with legal, finance, investor relations, and accounting teams to gather, validate, and present relevant financial and narrative disclosures.
Develop and maintain supporting documentation and audit-ready workpapers for all external financial reporting activities.
Leverage AI tools and agents to enhance reporting accuracy, automate routine processes, and surface actionable insights across regulatory and investor-facing deliverables.
Implement and continuously improve reporting tools, templates, and processes to support accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
Support accounting conclusions and disclosures by researching accounting matters, interpreting accounting guidance for proper treatment, and drafting technical accounting memos.
Track and document upcoming accounting guidance that might be relevant to the company.
Keep track of possible future disclosures based on changing accounting guidance.
