About The Position

Positions range from permanent clinical float roles (Full time or Part Time) to Seasonal 13-week assignments with significantly higher base pay. Performs ultrasonic/diagnostic examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound or diagnostic techniques for radiologic diagnosis. Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound/diagnostic procedures. Ensures that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with satisfaction patient identification obtained prior to conducting procedure. Performs all procedures according to departmental protocol. Performs other related duties as required. On call shifts required at the discretion of the Radiology Director. Population served: • Pediatric (1-12 years) • Adolescent (13-17 years) • Adult (18 years to 69 years) • Geriatric (70 years and older) Supervised by: Director of Radiology

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of a school of Radiation Sciences or Ultrasound Technology.
  • Experience: At least 1 year experience in performing ultrasound procedures or equivalent experience as determined by the Director of Radiology.
  • Licenses/Certifications: ARDMS registered with intent to register in Abdomen, Breast, Vascular and OB/GYN; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs ultrasonic/diagnostic examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
  • Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound or diagnostic techniques for radiologic diagnosis.
  • Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound/diagnostic procedures.
  • Ensures that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with satisfaction patient identification obtained prior to conducting procedure.
  • Performs all procedures according to departmental protocol.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • On call shifts required at the discretion of the Radiology Director.
