About The Position

The Seasonal Summer Support staff member plays a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and memorable summer experience for youth participants. This position supports the planning and delivery of recreational, educational, and cultural activities while providing direct supervision and positive mentorship to youth in a variety of group settings. Seasonal staff are expected to model respectful behavior, encourage participation, and help foster an inclusive environment that promotes growth, teamwork, and fun throughout the summer season.

Requirements

  • Must possess excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to cooperate with others.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and teamwork are necessary.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and backgrounds
  • Willingness to work with a team of staff and departments to meet the needs of the Tribal community.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be CPR and First Aid Certified. Will train on-the-job.
  • Must be able to work in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Must have strong work history and attendance.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments.
  • Must meet coverage criteria according to the Tribe’s vehicle liability insurance.
  • Must be able to pass a thorough background check and possess a valid Washington driver’s license.
  • Must adhere to the Stillaguamish policies and procedures set out by the Tribe.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with children in a summer camp setting is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a Tribal cultural setting is preferred.

  • Before and Afterschool
  • Graduation Party
  • Summer Camp
  • Back to School Faire
  • End of Summer BBQ
  • Harvest Party
  • Fostering group unity
  • Maintaining a fun and positive environment
  • Work efficiently and effectively to complete all tasks.
