About The Position

Join the Discovery family, where quality and service are at the heart of everything we do! This role will be located at Discovery Land Company’s Hamptons locations: Dune Deck Beach Club, set in Westhampton Beach, New York and The Hills set in East Quogue, New York. Employer of record is: DLV Hamptons Management LLC The Hills is seeking seasonal Stewards to join the Culinary Department. This role is available April 20, 2026 – October 7th, 2026. H-2B visa sponsorship is available for in-country extensions. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Requirements

  • Three (3) months of experience in high-volume restaurants, resort, or private club.
  • Required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts greater than eight (8) hours in length.
  • Required to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Required to work indoors and outdoors.
  • Required to stand, walk, and move for period of greater than four (4) hours.
  • Required to carry, bend, stoop, squat, reach, push and pull and left and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Background check will be performed at the expense of the employer.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain sanitation standards in all kitchen work areas by cleaning dishes, kitchen, food preparation equipment, or utensils.
  • Provide clean cooking utensils for the food and beverage operations and ensure that all utensils and equipment are clean, dry, and stored correctly in the designated areas.
  • Maintain safety, proper storage of chemicals such as Bleach, Clorox, and Food safety products for cleaning, and chemical concentration logs.
  • Perform daily set ups of China, glassware, and silverware items for all outlets.
  • Participate as a team player with other key team members, attend department briefings as necessary to communicate necessary.
  • Complete all opening/closing procedures as instructed.
  • Assist with execution of departmental objectives and goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels for food and ingredients, cooking materials and supplies for culinary, dishware, and cleaning supplies through regular inventory checks.
  • Maintain all equipment such as cleanliness of dishwashers, stove tops, ovens, mixers, refrigerators, and cooking prep areas and be sure it is properly handled and maintained.

Cost of housing and utilities, if accepted, is $100.00 - $150.00 per week for a shared room. Employer will not deduct for rent; rent will be paid directly to a separate company via electronic payment, no cash.
