Requirements

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent guest service skills and commitment to providing a welcoming experience.
Ability to work collaboratively with team members across The Wilds and Columbus Zoo Family of Parks.
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced work environment.
Effective decision-making skills and ability to work without direct supervision.
Must adhere to all company policies and safety standards.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Availability to work varied shifts based on weather conditions, guest attendance, and operational needs.
Possession of a valid state issued driver’s license with a good driving record.
Subject to a criminal background check and Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) review.

Responsibilities

Collect parking fees, when applicable, and direct visitors to designated parking areas.
Process accurate sales transactions efficiently and securely.
Provide friendly and prompt transportation services throughout visitor areas.
Offer guests information about available activities and experiences at The Wilds.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude while ensuring the safety of guests and team members.
Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Keep all vehicles clean and well-maintained.
Operate shuttle vehicles safely while following all traffic and operational regulations.
Operate a two-way radio for effective communication with team members and management.
Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
Strive to further the mission of the organization and support The Wilds, Columbus Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, and Safari Golf Club.
Comply with The Wilds’ Drug-Free Workplace Policy and successfully pass required background checks.
