The Security Senior Supervisor is responsible for security duties in the protection of life and property through crime prevention and enforcement of laws and policy. Supervisor duties range from periods of physical inactivity to situations requiring extreme physical exertion and exposure to danger. Supervisors must be able to act without immediate supervision and exercise independent judgment in meeting emergencies and provide leadership for other Security Agents. Additionally, Security Senior Supervisors are responsible for scheduling department leadership and documentation for their respective hosts. We are currently looking for a: Lake Compounce - Seasonal Security Senior Supervisor Roles & Responsibilities: The Security Senior Supervisor is responsible for security duties in the protection of life and property through crime prevention and enforcement of laws and policy.   • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; Equivalent work experience will also be considered
  • 3+ years of previous security, criminal justice, or related experience highly desired
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Connecticut Child Labor Laws
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work third shift (overnight) if needed
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Must possess working knowledge of the principles and practices of modern security techniques.
  • Must possess working knowledge of the constitutional rights of citizens.
  • Must possess working knowledge of proper investigation principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Ability to address multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Frequent interaction with all outdoor and indoor areas of the park
  • Some sedentary motion, while sitting and utilizing computer/camera equipment
  • Fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities and challenges

Nice To Haves

  • College degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline; Equivalent work experience will be considered
  • CPR/AED and First Aid training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervisors will be tasked with daily schedule assignments for the Security Teams.
  • They will act as Security “One” in the absence of the Security Manager.
  • Will help with the development and training of new officers.
  • Develop and supervise a working schedule.
  • Maintain constant vigilance while the park is operating to identify any potential issues or safety concerns; communicate any potential issues to other departments and/or leadership in a timely manner
  • Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests
  • Monitor guest safety and communicate conflicts to supervisors on duty
  • Supervisors will handle elevated guest complaints or conflicts that occur on the property
  • Approve and send incident reports to the proper channels.
  • Act as a first responder at the scene of accidents or crimes; secures scene, provides emergency CPR/AED and first aid
  • Take control of emergency and intense situations while remaining calm
  • Professionally manage crowd control during emergency situations
  • Contact local law enforcement personnel when circumstances warrant
  • Exercise clear and concise communications with all park departments
  • Assist with timekeeping for hourly employees
  • Collaborate with the parking team members to conduct traffic duties, when needed
  • Enforce the parking lot rules and regulations
  • Delegate responsibilities as directed by the Security Manager
  • Respond to routine and emergency calls throughout the park property
  • Assist in safety prevention efforts, including responding to all safety calls, fire alarms, and emergencies.
  • Utilized electronic card access, closed circuit television, and other audio/visual monitoring systems, monitors and supervises the response to all reports or irregular conditions, including the unauthorized entry of persons or vehicles to protected buildings and areas, breaches of perimeter security or any other suspicious activities occurring on the property.
