The Part-Time Guest Programs Team Specialist Level 1 (seasonal) will create a fun and engaging experience for our guests, including families, children, and adults. This involves proactively engaging with guests, making connections between our guests and the natural world, and providing information about our animals and exhibits. The Guest Programs Team Specialist Level 1 is responsible for ensuring guest and animal safety, while working in various public positions throughout the Aquarium’s fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Guest Programs Team Specialist Level 1 receives training that enhances their ability to interact with and inspire our guests. When the Guest Programs Team Specialists have been with the department for a specific timeframe, they can expand their skills through additional programs offerings and trainings such as assisting with the Celebrations program, the Narration program, the Behind the Seas Tour program, and other opportunities for peer leadership. All positions within the Guest Programs Department require team members to have the ability to effectively communicate with guests, create a welcoming environment for both guests and their fellow team members, seek out opportunities to improve guest experience whenever possible, and make lasting memories that our guests will remember for the rest of their lives. The Guest Programs Team Specialist Level 1 position starts with a seasonal probationary period of 90 days to ensure that everyone is the right fit for the Guest Programs Department. After that period, if it is determined they should remain with the department, they will become a Guest Programs Team Specialist Level 2.
