About The Position

Performs general work related to recreation programs and facilities, including Program support and facility supervision and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Program Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of facility and recreational maintenance
  • Thorough knowledge of methods and equipment used in recreational activities
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance techniques
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public.
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Favorable background history as determined by review of local, State and Federal records.
  • Valid driver’s license in the State of Georgia with a favorable driving history (MVR).

Responsibilities

  • Ensures facilities are opened and closed according to scheduled operating hours.
  • Ensures facilities are stocked with supplies, operational and clean. Complete basic restocking, cleaning, trash removal, etc.
  • Assists the general public with rules and regulations and ensures grounds, buildings and equipment are neat and operational while accessible to the public.
  • Ensures compliance with facility’s rules and regulations and ensures safe and orderly conduct.
  • Issues, collects and stores recreation equipment.
  • Provides program support as needed.
  • Performs simple, routine maintenance at facilities and notifies supervisor of any maintenance and repair issues.
  • Works a variable schedule (i.e. weekends, special events).
  • Encourages and promotes a culture of excellent customer service.
