About The Position
YMCA OF MEMPHIS AND THE MIDSOUTH PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE PURPOSE OF POSITION: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Under the general supervision of the Food Executive Director the Production Associate team members assist in preparation and delivery of the meals for our Food Program.
Requirements
- Work a flexible part time schedule.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- Ages 18 and older.
Nice To Haves
- Some knowledge of food service and kitchen procedures is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes
- Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
- Take and record the temperature of food and food storage areas
- Operate packaging machinery
- Pack and place food in refrigerators for storage or in trucks for transport.
- All other duties as assigned.
